Rates, Policy and Tracking

Follow interest rates, taxes and remittances. Keep a short tracker and decide in advance what you will do when each number moves.

A macro tracker is useful when a movement leads to a defined commercial review. Track inflation, exchange rates, fuel, interest rates, wages and remittances with source dates and a clear owner.

Connect each indicator to a business mechanism: financing cost, affordability, acquisition cost or demand in particular areas. Treat the tax-incidence formula as a simplified model, and assess actual rules and market conditions separately before making a decision.

Put it to work

Build a monthly tracker with the six indicators, source dates, owners and review triggers. Add your own recharge signals. For each trigger, name the analysis required before changing a price, financing offer or acquisition budget.

A question to try

What commercial review starts when an indicator crosses the level you have agreed?
